Coaching Workshop

The workshop will work through the racket skills exercises already given in the Coaches Corner videos. The exercises would have provided opportunities for players to improve or highlight current weaknesses. The workshop aims to provide better understanding and the necessary technical advice for players to effect positive changes in their game during lockdown.

Week 1.

Introduction and explanation about drilling into the detail from the coach’s corner technical exercises.  Players can then go back through the videos / tasks after the workshop has finished and see if they have improved.

Week 2.

Perception and the fundamental link it can play in everything you do on a squash court.

Week 3.

Perception linked to the swing sequence.

Week 4.

Perception linked to swing sequence in turn linked to your initial movement.

Week 5.

Quiz with the performance team.

Week 6 & 7

Perception linked to swing sequence in turn linked to movement and choice of shot.

Perception linked to swing sequence in turn linked to movement and choice of shot / attacking.

Week 8.

Perception linked to swing sequence in turn linked to movement and choice of shot / defensive.

Week 9.

Perception linked to swing sequence in turn linked to movement and choice of shot / volley.

Week 10.

Perception linked to swing sequence in turn linked to movement and choice of shot / match play. Practically adding the above into your game for improvement.
